Role reversalu know how as we grow older, we sorta exchange roles with our parents?
when we were babies, they fed us, bathed us, looked after us in every aspect, earn money FOR us, worry for us etc becos we are so vulnerable.
and eventually when they become old, shriveled, demented, sick and also vulnerable, we haf to like "repay" everything back to them. like taking care of them, giving them $, feeding them etc...
nothing serious is happening lah. just that this suddenly dawned upon me today...
when i was in pri school, my mother used to cut my (unruly) hair for me. she cuts all our hair(me and my sibs and my dad too!)
today i was asked to help her trim her hair!! haha...usually my sister does it but she wasn't coming over today she i was given the job.
haha so i did cut her hair for her (and did a pretty good job summore!! WHEE *happy*), it sure feels funny being the hairdresser this time round!! heh...
and yah...reading about delirium, dementia today also made me think alot of wat old ppl tend to suffer from...summore i have a fren who's grandpa suffered from delirium due to infx...so this is really very real...dementia...wat if one day ur parents can't recognise u anymore...aiyz...these thoughts are so saddening.
